Hi, I’m Angelica
I'm a Brazilian–Italian UI/UX Designer based in Lisbon, with a path that didn't start in tech—and that's exactly why my work looks the way it does.

Interfaces designed with a researcher's eye and a filmmaker's sense of story.
01 BACKGROUND
I trained as a librarian at the University of Brasília, earned a Master's in Information Science, and later completed a PhD in Cinema at the University of Bologna. Years spent organizing knowledge and studying how stories move people now sit at the core of every digital experience I design.
02 practice
As a UI/UX Designer, I work end-to-end — from research and information architecture to interface design, prototyping, and usability testing. I'm especially drawn to projects with narrative depth: cultural platforms, educational products, animation, games, and digital experiences where clarity and emotion need to coexist.
03 philosophy
I believe the best interfaces are quiet ones. They answer questions before you ask, guide without shouting, and leave room for the human on the other side.
Let’s create something meaningful.
Available for junior UI/UX roles, internships, and selected freelance projects. I usually respond within 48 hours.
BEYOND DESIGN
My creative practice extends beyond design. Since 2009, I've explored animation, illustration, photography, filmmaking, and surface pattern design. I studied 3D animation with Maya, created short films, and continue to photograph, film, and illustrate in my free time. These disciplines constantly inform one another: photographs inspire illustrations, illustrations become animations, and stories find new forms across different media. This interdisciplinary perspective shapes the way I approach design—combining structure, visual sensitivity, and storytelling to create experiences that feel both intuitive and meaningful.
I'm increasingly interested in motion design and micro-interactions for digital products. I'm especially drawn to fintech and e-commerce experiences, where movement can guide attention, build trust, communicate system status, and transform everyday interactions into moments of clarity and delight.
I speak Portuguese, English, and Italian, and I'm currently open to opportunities worldwide, with a particular interest in Italy, Portugal, Brazil, and the United States.
